Evidence Library & Topics

Save, organize, and search your cards by topic so your prep stays findable.

The Evidence Library is where your saved cards live, organized into topics. A topic is a folder for one resolution; the Library is everything you have saved inside those folders. Nothing is saved automatically, so the Library only holds what you choose to keep.

Topics

A topic groups your cards by resolution and sets the default format for tools like Evidence Finder. The app does not create a topic for you; you make your own.

Create one: in the Topics panel, click the + and fill in:

  • Name (for example, "Jan PF").
  • Resolution or description (optional).
  • Type: PF, LD, Policy, or Custom.

If the current NSDA topics are available, you can create one in a single click from the suggestions above the list.

Manage them:

  • Switch the active topic from the switcher in the top bar, or by clicking a topic in the Library.
  • Edit a topic's name, resolution, or type by expanding it.
  • Archive topics you are done with; they collapse into a "Show archived" section instead of cluttering the list.
  • Delete a topic permanently. Its cards are not deleted; they move to Unsorted.

Saving cards

Every place you make a card (Single Card Snipe, Automatic, Agent, Evidence Finder, Logos) has a Save to Library button. Click it and the card is saved into your active topic (or Unsorted if you have none selected).

Cards are never saved automatically. If you cut a card and want to keep it, save it before you move on.

Finding your cards

Inside a topic, the Cards tab lists your saved evidence. To find a specific card:

  • Search. The search box matches the tag, citation, and claim. Note that it does not search inside the card body, so search by what the card argues, not by a phrase buried in the text.
  • Filter by tag. Click tag chips to narrow the list. Selecting more than one tag uses "and" logic: a card must have all the selected tags to show.
  • Cards are sorted newest first, and load in pages with a Load More button.

Cards and Blocks

A real topic has two tabs:

  • Cards: your saved evidence cards.
  • Blocks: the blocks you built in Block Builder, for that topic. Click one to reopen it.

What you can do with a card

Open a card to:

  • Edit its tag and citation.
  • Copy it, formatted for Word or Google Docs with highlighting intact.
  • Add or remove tags.
  • Move it to another topic.
  • Delete it (this is permanent; there is no trash).

You can also select several cards at once to move or delete them in bulk.

Limits and privacy

  • There is no limit on how many cards you can save. The free and Pro caps apply to cutting and searching, not to Library size.
  • Your Library is private. Cards and topics are visible only to your account.

Common problems

  • You cannot find a card you cut. You probably did not save it; cutting a card does not add it to the Library on its own.
  • Search is not finding a phrase. Search covers the tag, citation, and claim, not the body text. Try searching by the tag instead.
  • A card shows up in Unsorted. It was saved with no active topic, or its topic was deleted. Open it and use Move to put it in a topic.
